Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal submissions within your assigned territory to ensure profitable growth.
  • Bring our brand to life by ensuring consistent and impactful communication of our products and services to retail and wholesale brokers.
  • Expand broker relationships, both by strengthening existing partnerships and intentionally cultivating new ones in key markets.
  • Represent Argo Group in client and broker meetings, demonstrating expertise and elevating the customer experience.
  • Build and manage a strong submission pipeline aligned with production goals and business mix targets.
  • Leverage market insights, use your contacts to generate business, gather intelligence, and cross‑sell complementary products.
Qualifications
  • In‑depth knowledge of Excess Casualty, including product nuances, compliance, and risk management.
  • Established wholesale broker relationships.
  • Proficient negotiation and insurance underwriting skills.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive within the ever‑evolving market.
  • Sharp analytical skills to navigate financial statements and complex data.
  • Significant broker communication, networking, and relationship‑building aptitude.
  • Disciplined focus on execution, accuracy, and follow‑through with a sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding organizational and time‑management talents.
Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range is $140,000 - $166,000 (based on experience). Additionally, this position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
