The Impact You Will Have

This role will support the efforts and execution of the Product Development strategy for the North American Financial Lines as led by the Regional Head of Product Development for FL NA in collaboration with the Regional Head of FL NA and as supported by the Global LoB Head and Global PD. The position will support the efforts to strategically drive the innovation and execution of refreshed or new product offerings as well as customized wording for specific accounts.

The role will work collaboratively with our Underwriting, Claims and Legal teams to create and define a market leading presence for product innovation in the Financial Lines sector.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Develop, implement, and modify products for Financial Lines, standard wordings and coordinate product-specific organizational matters of LoB (Lines of Business) with PCs, Regions etc.
• Ensure global knowledge sharing with regard to special products/enhancements, specific UW knowledge for Financial Lines Product
• Develop, define North American Product Strategy in accordance with the underwriting strategy as defined by the Regional LoB Head as supported by the Global LoB Head
• Drive involvement of functional areas including e.g. other LoB teams, Claims, Legal and Market Management
• Identify litigation trends, coverage trends, market developments incl. market potentials and clients
• Monitor new (legal) developments, coordinate and steer regional / country issues (e.g. liability and insurance law development)
• Make suggestions for UW authorities for special products to Head of Financial Lines and sub-Lobs heads
• Enhance and refine underwriting of products during the introduction period (including claims monitoring, sales support and portfolio monitoring)

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• 5-7 years experience in Underwriting management position in relevant line of business
• 5-7 years experience in demonstrable track record of product development
• 7-10 years experience in successful track record of leadership of direct teams or complex matrix environments
• 5-7 years experience of working internationally with strong ability for cross border adaption
• 7-10 Comprehensive technical knowledge of Financial Lines products, coverages, underwriting practices, pricing processes and sales distribution channels
• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Law, or comparable discipline
• Preferably completion of professional insurance qualification (e.g. CII)

The annualized base pay range for this role is $112,350 - $217,550. The actual salary will be determined by various factors including scope, complexity, location, skills, education, training, credentials, and experience. This base pay is part of a comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-based incentives.
