Position
Arch Re Fac’s Underwriters are members of a team spanning the United States, Canada and Europe focused on developing strong, mutually beneficial business relationships with primary insurance company underwriters and brokers. This position will require some domestic travel, approximately 15%.
ResponsibilitiesUnderwriters are responsible for developing client relationships and submission flow, as well as underwriting and negotiating the transactions.
Required Skills- 3-5+ years property insurer or reinsurer underwriting experience
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated customer-service focus coupled with strong negotiation skills
- Strong Property Underwriting Acumen including an understanding of coverage, risk hazards and policy forms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound Computer/Technology skills
- Desire for continued learning
- Bachelor’s degree (ideally with a degree/major in Risk Management, Economics, or Business) or equivalent training required
- Additional industry-specific study and designations (such as CPCU, ARe) a plus
Base salary range: $150,000 - $205,000 per year. Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) will take into account factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The pay range may be modified in the future.
