JCW is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialty insurance carrier seeking an Underwriter to join its Environmental team. This is a hybrid opportunity with strong exposure to both new business production and portfolio management within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. The role offers the chance to work closely with brokers while underwriting specialized risks and contributing to a profitable, expanding book of business.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite new and renewal environmental risks, including evaluating submissions, determining appetite fit, and ensuring pricing aligns with profitability targets
- Manage broker relationships by delivering responsive service, providing coverage guidance, and supporting deal execution from quote through bind
- Maintain and service a book of business, including policy changes, endorsements, and cross-functional coordination to resolve underwriting issues
- 2+ years of underwriting experience in environmental lines
