Insurance Coverage Associate

Angove Partners is partnering with a global insurance company, seeking an M&A Claims Specialist in New York. It’s an exciting time for the business, which is expanding into new jurisdictions and solidifying its position as a market leader in R&W in New York.

This role has a focus on M&A insurance and is based in New York. The team specialises in Representations & Warranties and Tax Liability insurance.

The team has a wide range of legal, accounting and insurance experience personnel. They have a unique set-up that promotes knowledge-sharing and collaboration amongst the teams, and they work together to ensure that clients receive the best level of tailored coverage, effective advice and a prompt service

• Autonomously administer and negotiate claims
• Review and respond to incoming enquiries from clients and brokers
• Review and prepare notifications, manage the claims process, consider coverage and deal with settlements
• Negotiate with markets to achieve the best outcome
• Create comprehensive and accurate documents detailing claim facts and coverage issues
• Develop strong relationships with markets
• Advise on policy wording improvements based on insurance law and claims experience

• PQE 2-5 years of experience in a law firm, preferable with experience in Insurance Recovery
• Understanding of M&A legal documents (e.g. Sale Agreements, DD reports, data room documents)
• Entrepreneurial with good negotiation skill
