• Robust understanding of operations management within the insurance sector
• Proven track record in managing operations teams, preferably in underwriting
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity issues and political risk assessment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to process complex data and provide clear and actionable insights
• Excellent leadership abilities with strong emphasis on team development and empowerment
• Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with various stakeholders across the organization and industry
• High level of adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced and evolving environment

• 7+ years processing/supervising underwriting operational activities within a North American Insurance Agency (e.g., submissions, clearance, binding/booking, etc.); particularly with offshore operations is essential
• Operational experience with Cyber and Political Violence lines of business is essential
• Experience with complex operations for CY and PV insurance lines and products
• Operations experience within a Commercial/Speciality Insurance Agency acting as a Cover holder of Lloyds is preferred
• Ability to conceptualize and execute innovative plans impacting overall efficiency and productivity
• Ability to work collaboratively with a geographically distributed team and quickly understand and adopt to new cultural norms/standards
• Ability to effectively manage offshore operations and drive maximum value out of the relationship
• Ability to work with all levels of employees and management
• Self-motivated individual capable of working towards and meeting deadlines
• Comfortable working with ambiguity in a young and maturing organisation
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Sharepoint, etc.)
