- Robust understanding of operations management within the insurance sector
- Proven track record in managing operations teams, preferably in underwriting
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity issues and political risk assessment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to process complex data and provide clear and actionable insights
- Excellent leadership abilities with strong emphasis on team development and empowerment
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with various stakeholders across the organization and industry
- High level of adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- 7+ years processing/supervising underwriting operational activities within a North American Insurance Agency (e.g., submissions, clearance, binding/booking, etc.); particularly with offshore operations is essential
- Operational experience with Cyber and Political Violence lines of business is essential
- Experience with complex operations for CY and PV insurance lines and products
- Operations experience within a Commercial/Speciality Insurance Agency acting as a Cover holder of Lloyds is preferred
- Ability to conceptualize and execute innovative plans impacting overall efficiency and productivity
- Ability to work collaboratively with a geographically distributed team and quickly understand and adopt to new cultural norms/standards
- Ability to effectively manage offshore operations and drive maximum value out of the relationship
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and management
- Self-motivated individual capable of working towards and meeting deadlines
- Comfortable working with ambiguity in a young and maturing organisation
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, Sharepoint, etc.)
