Claims Examiner to join their Healthcare / Medical Malpractice team. This is a technical role handling mid to complex medical malpractice claims across a diverse portfolio. You will manage claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management.

A global insurance carrier is seeking an experienced Senior
Claims Examiner to join their Healthcare / Medical Malpractice team. This is a technical role handling mid to complex medical malpractice claims across a diverse portfolio. You will manage claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management.
- Handle Medical Malpractice claims across a wide range of medical/healthcare professional groups
- Handle coverage matters including writing own coverage letters and coverage decisions
- Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution
- Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
- 4+ years of Medical Malpractice / Healthcare E&O claims experience - gained at a leading insurance organization or law firm
- Experience with in other areas of professional liability claims - beneficial but not essential
- Strong exposure to coverage investigation and litigated files. Must have experience writing coverage letters.
- Bachelor's degree required; industry designations (AIC, CPCU, etc.) are a plus
- Adjuster License - ESSENTIAL
- Competitive base salary ($140,000 - $150,000) + 10-15% annual bonus
