Licensing Specialist

A global commercial insurance organization is seeking a Licensing Specialist to join its Legal & Regulatory Compliance team. This role focuses on insurance company and reinsurance entity licensing, regulatory filings, legal research, and ongoing compliance across U.S. and international jurisdictions.

• Manage insurance and reinsurance company licenses and registrations
• Prepare and track license applications, renewals, and regulatory filings
• Handle corporate amendments, director/officer filings, and biographical affidavits
• Support holding company filings, affiliate transactions, and reinsurance-related regulatory matters
• Research insurance laws, licensing requirements, and regulatory obligations
• Communicate with state Departments of Insurance, regulators, outside counsel, and internal legal teams
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Underwriting, and Finance
• Support projects involving state expansion, new products, acquisitions, and entity restructurings
• Help improve regulatory workflows and processes

• 3+ years of experience in insurance licensing, regulatory compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related function
• Strong understanding of insurance regulation and licensing
• Experience managing multiple regulatory deadlines
• Strong research, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally

• Property & Casualty insurance experience
• Insurance company/entity licensing experience
• Experience working directly with Departments of Insurance
• Exposure to holding company filings, corporate amendments, reinsurance licensing, or state expansion
• Experience with in a commercial, specialty, reinsurance, or multinational insurance organization
