Senior Actuarial Manager – Workers’ Compensation I’m partnering with a leading specialty insurer looking to appoint a Senior Actuarial Manager to take a key role within its Workers’ Compensation business. This is a senior, commercially focused actuarial position with responsibility across pricing, profitability monitoring and portfolio analytics
, working closely with Underwriting, Claims, Finance and senior leadership.
- Leading actuarial analysis and strategy across the Workers’ Compensation portfolio
- Developing pricing analyses, rate indications and profitability assessments
- Monitoring loss trends, claims development and underwriting performance
- Partnering with Claims to understand severity trends and key portfolio drivers
- Supporting forecasting, business planning and reinsurance strategy
- Presenting recommendations and insights to senior/executive stakeholders
- Managing and developing actuarial talent
Ideal background: - 8-10+ years of P&C actuarial experience
- Strong Workers’ Compensation pricing, reserving or portfolio experience
- ACAS required; FCAS preferred
- Strong commercial and stakeholder-facing capabilities
- Experience partnering directly with Underwriting and/or Claims
- Base salary: $141,640-$194,755 + 30% incentive
