Associate Actuary – A&H Pricing, North America

Join us as a Director & Actuary – A&H Pricing, North America to take on key responsibilities within a world-class actuarial function. Make your mark in the A&H Actuarial Team Our A&H Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance and providing key analyses for AIG’s stakeholders.
We collaborate with multiple functions, including Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing and Underwriting. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage and mitigate risk.
- Drive product innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.
- Your knowledge of A&H products and analytical techniques will ensure competitive design and pricing.
- Assess and provide risk mitigation solutions to ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory standards.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions related to budget, product design, portfolio management, and business segments.
- Mentor a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and actuarial best practices.
- Independently and effectively engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects such as:
Transformation projects for Pricing Management Reporting. Budget and reinsurance planning.
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
- ASA / ACAS Designation is preferred
- At least 4+ years of actuarial experience, A&H pricing experience preferred.
- Advanced experience with Excel, Python, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge with R and/or other data visualization software a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $119,000-$149,000. For positions based in New Jersey, the base salary range is $,000. The position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
