** team.  This position will complement the existing professional liability claims team that supports the U.S Sompo Financial Lines business unit. The successful candidate will be able to provide insight and analysis on complex high profile/high exposure Cyber Media & Technology claims.

**** What you’ll be doing**:
* Proactively manage complex Cyber, Media & Technology claims from inception through resolution, including coverage, liability, and damages analysis.
* Identify key exposures and claim trends impacting the portfolio and provide written assessments to the Sompo Pro business unit.
* Respond to coverage questions and support problem resolution for the Sompo Pro underwriting team and senior management.
* Draft and contribute to Professional Lines policy language and related documentation.
* Represent the Company at client meetings, mediations, external meetings, industry events, and conferences, including potential speaking or publishing opportunities.
* Collaborate with global claims colleagues, underwriting, and other functional groups on complex claims, strategic projects, and other duties as required, including travel as needed.
* Some Travel Required  
** What you’ll bring**:
* JD required with ideally a minimum of 8 years of Cyber, Media & Technology claims experience, including increasing responsibility at an insurance company and/or law firm.
* Proven experience directly handling primary and excess Cyber, Media & Technology claims.
* Strong ability to analyze coverage, liability, damages, exposures, and claims issues.
* Experience attending mediations, negotiating settlements, and drafting Professional Lines policy language.
* Ability to build strong working relationships with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and other business partners.
* Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, client service, and computer skills, including MS Office and claims systems experience.  Salary Range: $145,000 to $195,000. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.  At Sompo, we recognize that the talent, skills, and commitment of our employees drive our success.
