Court Certified ASL Interpreters – In-Person Assignments

Ad Astra is currently seeking Court Certified ASL Interpreters for ongoing in-person assignments in New York
. We are looking for qualified professionals to support legal and court-related settings requiring American Sign Language interpretation services.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced interpreters interested in flexible, project-based assignments with consistent demand in legal environments.

• Provide accurate, real-time ASL interpretation during court proceedings, legal appointments, and related assignments
• Facilitate effective communication between Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals and legal professionals
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, impartiality, and cultural sensitivity at all times
• Follow court protocols and professional interpreting standards
• Travel locally within New York for scheduled assignments

• Court Certification required
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English
• Prior legal and/or court interpreting experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability and willingness to attend assignments on-site in New York
