Location: New York
Overview
We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization based on the Lower East Side of Manhattan seeking volunteers who are fluent in Chinese, Spanish, and Russian to phone our clients and assist them with placing pantry orders online. Many of our clients do not speak English and rely on these languages. We receive a pantry delivery once a month.
Responsibilities- Contact clients by phone to assist with placing pantry orders online
- Provide language support to clients in Chinese, Spanish, or Russian as needed
- Fluency in Chinese, Spanish, and Russian (spoken)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as a volunteer and follow safety and privacy guidelines
