Georgian & Russian Translators

We are a U.S. immigration law firm looking for experienced Georgian and Russian translators to translate our existing English-language blog articles into Georgian and Russian.

The articles will already be professionally written in English. We are not looking for someone to write new articles or upload them to our website. This position is specifically for translation.

Our blog articles primarily discuss U.S. immigration law and related immigration topics. Because the content involves legal terminology, accuracy is extremely important. At the same time, we want the translations to sound natural, clear, and professional to native Georgian and Russian readers, rather than sounding like word-for-word translations from English.

The translator will be responsible for:

• Translating complete blog articles from English into Georgian and/or Russian
• Accurately translating U.S. immigration and legal terminology
• Preserving the meaning, tone, headings, and overall structure of the original article
• Making the translated article sound natural to a native speaker
• Proofreading the completed translation for grammar, spelling, consistency, and accuracy
• Ensuring that names of government agencies, immigration forms, visa categories, and other legal terminology are handled correctly
• Maintaining the original links and formatting where appropriate
• Delivering a polished translation that is ready for publication

Please do not simply run the articles through Google Translate, ChatGPT, or another automated translation tool and submit the unreviewed output. AI or translation tools are not allowed and will be noticed.

We strongly prefer applicants who:

• Are native or near-native speakers of Georgian and/or Russian
• Have professional translation experience
• Have experience translating legal, immigration, government, or other professional content
• Understand the importance of maintaining the precise meaning of legal information
• Can consistently meet deadlines
• Are interested in ongoing work

You do not necessarily need to translate both languages. If you specialize only in Georgian or only in Russian, please feel free to apply and clearly indicate which language you translate.
