Larson Maddox is partnered with the largest transportation network in the country as they look to expand their legal function. This large, well-known organization is looking to grow it's tort division and bring on defense litigation attorneys at various levels of seniority to join. It's an exciting opportunity to join a household name as they continue to grow and handle complex, personal injury claims through all phases of litigation.

This role would sit out of the company's Brooklyn office.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, high-stakes personal injury cases throughout the entire litigation lifecycle, including administrative proceedings, depositions, discovery, motion practice, court appearances, settlement discussions, and trial work.
• Evaluate claims with a strategic lens, crafting and executing litigation plans aimed at achieving efficient, favorable outcomes while aligning with current legal standards and ethical obligations.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external entities, including operational teams and judicial bodies.
• Contribute to broader departmental objectives as directed by senior legal leadership, supporting organizational goals and initiatives.
• Operate both autonomously and as a key member of a collaborative litigation team.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in tort litigation and knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling personal injury claims through all phases of litigation on the defense side
• Admission to the New York State Bar
