Job OverviewA law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Patent Associate to join its practice group in New York City, NY, or work remotely. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution, contributing to a sophisticated practice advising clients on expanding their IP portfolios.
Duties- Draft and prosecute patent applications.
- Advise clients on IP portfolio development and innovation protection.
- Interact extensively with clients, including Fortune 100 companies and technology leaders.
- 3-4 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
- Experience with cloud computing, AI, and other advanced technologies preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a collaborative outlook.
- Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science (or equivalent).
- USPTO registration required.
- Knowledge of patent application preparation and office action responses.
- Programming background or understanding of software coding preferred.
