** Position Summary
** The Coordinator will work collaboratively with other members of the PR & Communications team and the Business Development department to support the firm’s global PR strategy.
** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Draft various content, including external announcements and write-ups for the firm’s website.
* Field and research press inquiries.
* Monitor, compile and distribute to firm leadership news coverage of the firm.
* Develop media lists for distribution of firm news.
* Assist with media outreach around firm news.
* Distribute press releasees over wire services.
* Research opportunities for and facilitating placement of bylined articles.
* Coordinate article reprint process.
* Prepare reports of media relations activity.
* Assist with various other research projects.
* Ensure consistency with the firm’s brand and editorial guidelines across materials.
** Qualifications/Position Requirements
*** Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills
* Excellent judgment and discretion
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Ability to form effective working relationships with individuals at all levels
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to handle and appropriately prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
* Self-starter with an excellent work ethic
** Education and/or Experience
*** 1-2 years of experience in PR/media relations/corporate communications. Law firm or other professional services firm preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, journalism, media/public relations, marketing or a related field
** Compensation
* * The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
