Staff Attorney – Immediate Opportunity

Location: Bronx, NY |
Full-Time, In-Person

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Attorney to join a multidisciplinary team providing legal advocacy and supportive services for vulnerable older adults in New York City and Westchester County. This role includes direct legal services, shelter resident advocacy, and court appearances (Family, Housing, and Supreme Court).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop legal strategies in collaboration with social workers and other professionals
• Provide direct legal services and advocate for residents in court
• Coordinate and deliver trainings and outreach to professional audiences
• Assist with grant writing and reporting
• Engage in policy and legislative initiatives on elder justice issues
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, agencies, and law enforcement

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate and admission to practice in New York State (required)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Experience in elder abuse, domestic violence, or victim advocacy (preferred)

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $83,000–$100,000 annually
