We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Transactional Real Estate Paralegal to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in NYC residential real estate law while working closely with experienced attorneys in a fast‑paced and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, eager to learn, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications- Paralegal certificate/degree preferred, or 1–2 years of experience in a real estate law firm (experience mandatory)
- Strong interest in NYC residential real estate transactions including co-ops, condos, townhouses, and single-family homes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Must be willing to obtain a Notary Public license (preferred if already licensed)
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of residential real estate transactions
- Assist with preparing and organizing transaction files and closing checklists
- Draft routine correspondence and basic real estate documents under supervision
- Coordinate with clients, lenders, brokers, title companies, and managing agents
- Request and organize title reports, payoff letters, and closing documents
- Help prepare closing packages and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate
- Assist with scheduling closings and maintaining deadlines
- Handle post-closing tasks, including assembling closing binders and recording documents
