Associate Attorney – Labor & Employment

An established labor and employment boutique law firm with offices in New York City and southern Connecticut is seeking an associate attorney to join its growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to work across both plaintiff-side and defense-side matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Handle a broad range of employment matters, including severance and executive compensation negotiations, agency proceedings, and litigation through trial when needed
• Defend discrimination charges and employment lawsuits
• Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to small business clients on workplace policies, compliance, and employment issues
• Manage cases from intake through resolution while maintaining strong client relationships
• Manage a team of younger attorneys, depending on experience

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active admission to the New York and/or Connecticut Bar
• 1–4+ years of legal experience with at least 1-2 years of labor and employment experience preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the confidence to communicate directly with C-suite clients or Big Law opposing counsel.
• Strong organizational and client-management abilities
• Salary range: $105,000 – $150,000 initially, depending on experience, with possibility of significant pay increases over time
