Associate General Counsel

A leading credit-focused alternative asset management firm is seeking a Senior Transaction Manager to join the growing legal team within its Commercial Real Estate group.

This role offers the opportunity to take a leadership position in managing the legal process for the financing, acquisition, ownership, and sale of commercial real estate investments. Reporting to the Chief Transaction Counsel, the Senior Transaction Manager will focus on structuring, closing, and securitizing CRE loans, while also supporting asset management matters including loan modifications, workouts, and dispositions.

• Structuring, closing, and securitizing commercial real estate loan originations
• Supervising external transaction counsel
• Reviewing and negotiating loan documentation, purchase and sale agreements, warehouse facilities, participations, and syndications
• Supporting asset management with amendments, modifications, and workouts
• Overseeing legal diligence and securitization documentation
• Serving as a key legal resource to origination and CRE deal teams

• Attorney with significant experience in commercial real estate debt and equity transactions
• Background in private practice or at a financial institution
• Experience with securitization and real estate asset management
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable taking ownership of complex, fast-moving transactions
