Legal Secretary, Litigation, Paralegal
Location: New York
We are working with two premiere AmLaw Firms to find a Litigation Paralegal. One role will be in a New Jersey Office and one role will be a New York City Office. Both roles are a great opportunity for Litigation Paralegals who are looking to work at well-known firms and be an integral part of busy teams as well as support strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Draft a variety of legal documents and correspondence
- Compile, analyze, and summarize information
- Coordinate efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, other parties, and outside vendors
- Cite-check, Blue Booking and Shepardizing cases
- Organize all necessary documents for witness interviews, depositions, hearings, trials or arbitrations
- Review and maintain databases for case tracking, discovery and document production
- Utilize legal software for eDiscovery
- e-Filing in State and Federal Courts
- Assist with all aspects of trial prep
- Assist attorneys at depositions, hearings, trials or arbitrations
- Manage data rooms and matter files
- Manage ad hoc projects
- Bachelor's Degree
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
- At least 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Experience with legal software such as Relativity, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw and/or similar
- Strong MS Office skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required to interact with staff, paralegals, attorneys and clients on a daily basis
- Open to a hybrid schedule and overtime when needed
