As a trusted legal advisor, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams including product, underwriting, new business, and operations to help bring thoughtful, compliant, and competitive insurance solutions to  this position, you will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical guidance that supports informed decision-making and product strategy.

By balancing innovation with effective risk management, you will help teams move forward with confidence while supporting new business initiatives and in-force policy administration.

Key Responsibilities This role supports:
** Life Product Development
*** Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing insurance contracts and prospectuses for individual life insurance products.
* Supporting the sale and ongoing administration of life insurance offerings.
** Regulatory Filing Strategy
*** Developing and executing filing strategies to obtain timely state and federal regulatory approvals.
* Responding to and resolving regulatory objections and inquiries.
** Business Unit Support
*** Advising new business, underwriting, service, and operations teams.
* Researching applicable laws and providing practical, actionable legal guidance.

Required Qualifications
* Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with at least 7 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
* 3-5+ years of experience with a life insurance company, insurance regulatory agency, or insurance-focused law firm practice.
* Strong knowledge of state insurance laws and securities regulations applicable to life insurance companies.
* Demonstrated ability to influence, build credibility, and partner effectively with business stakeholders and external parties.
* Experience managing large, complex projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent drafting, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
* Skilled at presenting risk-assessed options and alternative courses of action.
* Ability to monitor regulatory developments and adapt to evolving legal and business requirements.
* Licensed to practice law in an applicable U.S. jurisdiction or eligible for in-house admission.
