We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to support the legal and compliance functions of our innovative and growing medical device company. This critical role will provide comprehensive legal support across multiple areas, including contract management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and cross-functional legal operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and brings strong legal acumen, excellent communication skills, and the adaptability to support evolving business needs.
ContractManagement
- Draft, review, and maintain a variety of contract templates, including NDAs, vendor agreements, clinical trial agreements, and consulting contracts.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including tracking deadlines, renewals, and approval workflows through the contract management system.
- Support contract negotiations by coordinating input from internal stakeholders and facilitating communications with external parties.
- Assist with regulatory documentation and submissions related to FDA approvals and product registrations.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready records in accordance with FDA, EU MDR, and ISO 13485 standards.
- Monitor and support the implementation of updates to compliance obligations, including the Sunshine Act and other transparency regulations.
- Support preparation and filing of corporate documents and maintain accurate corporate records, including minute books.
- Assist with the development and distribution of board and committee meeting materials and draft resolutions as needed.
- Coordinate responses to subpoenas, discovery requests, and other legal document production.
- Liaise with external counsel on litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters.
- Conduct legal research on topics such as medical device regulations, intellectual property, employment law, and industry-specific legal issues.
- Assist with internal policy development, training materials, and compliance initiatives.
- Ensure all legal activities are conducted with strict confidentiality and in alignment with data privacy standards.
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a legal environment, preferably within the life sciences, healthcare, or medical device industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting and management, regulatory documentation, and corporate governance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Experience using legal research tools (e.g., PACER, Lexis Nexis, Westlaw) preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
