Goetz Platzer LLP, a dynamic, mid-sized full-service law firm with an impeccable reputation, seeks an experienced commercial litigator with a minimum of 3 years of experience in New York practice.
An attorney who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to push matters through efficiently will be successful in this role. The candidate must have commercial litigation experience and be able to manage a high volume of cases. Detailed knowledge of CPLR is a must. Responsibilities will include preparing pleadings, discovery, and motion practice, conducting depositions, court appearances and trials.
The ideal candidate will manage a high volume of litigation cases, draft motions and pleadings, resolve and settle legal disputes on behalf of clients, and advocate for clients in court. This individual must be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to push matters through to resolution efficiently while building strong client relationships.
Annual base salary is $110,000 to $120,000 (Goetz Platzer is not a lock‑step firm and the exact amount of salary for this position is determined by experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors). In addition to base salary, the firm offers an annual discretionary bonus, paid time off (including vacation, sick leave, and personal days in accordance with firm policy), medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k) Profit‑Sharing Plan (employee‑only contribution plan), and a pre‑tax transportation benefits.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills - critical for managing high volume caseload
- Adaptability and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with proven ability to push matters through to completion
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership and good standing with the New York State Bar
