Corporate / Transactional Attorney – Fully Remote, Part-Time (Engagement)
Latitude is seeking an experienced corporate / transactional attorney to support the New York City practice of a boutique law firm focused on business and legal ethics for law firms, in‑house legal departments, and law‑related businesses. The attorney’s work will center on law firm and legal‑business formation and governance, including drafting and advising on partnership agreements, operating agreements, and related governing documents for law firm clients.
This is a fully remote, part‑time contract engagement (20–25 hours per week) with a strong possibility of evolving into a longer‑term or permanent role. The position is well suited to a lawyer who enjoys acting as trusted outside counsel to law firms, bringing sound judgment, strong drafting skills, great communications skills, and a practical, collaborative approach to sophisticated but focused transactional work.
BasicRequirements For The Corporate / Transactional Attorney
- 5+ years of experience practicing as an attorney handling corporate and commercial transactional matters
- Expertise reviewing, negotiating, and drafting governing documents (e.g., partnership agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements)
- Experience advising on structural and transactional issues relevant to professional service entities
- Ability to support clients in an outside general counsel or business advisor capacity
- Candidates with experience with tax considerations affecting PLLCs, LLPs, and similar professional entities are preferred, but this experience is not necessary
- Comfortable working independently and managing matters efficiently in a remote environment
- Excellent academic credentials from an ABA‑accredited law school
- Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Licensed to practice law in New York
- Outstanding professional references

Boutique Law Firm Engagement - Schedule:
Part‑time (20–25 hours per week) with the potential to transition to a full‑time role, for the right candidate. - Location:

- Pay:
The annualized pay for this position ranges from $200,000 to $280,000 when calculated on a full‑time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position). - Benefits:
In addition to pay, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401(k) plan is also available.
Benefits‑eligible Latitude attorneys also receive a CLE and professional expense stipend.
