We are seeking an experienced Intellectual Property(IP)
Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our IP practice, managing trademark and patent portfolios,assisting with IP enforcement efforts,and ensuring seamless workflow coordination across departments. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for intellectual property law.
This is a hybrid role based in NYC,NY with the option to work in Rockville Centre, NY or Mount Kisco, NY, with the possibility to be remote for the right candidate.
Manageinternalworkflow and assignments usingthe
IPGroup’sworkflowand project management toolsCollaborate and coordinate with thefirm’spayment, billing, and intaketeamson IP matter management and operations
Working with the IPGroupattorneys and firm marketing to support in the IPGroup’sbusinessdevelopment workflow management
Assisting theIP Group’s trademark practice in preparing trademark filings and documents in US and international trademark matters, assisting with trademark enforcement,litigation,and TTAB matters,and interfacing with clients on trademark matters, including preparing documents for filing at the USPTO, monitoring trademark dockets and communicating deadlines to clients, submitting documents to the USPTO and interfacing withclientson the status of their trademark matters.
Patent SupportAssisting the IP Group’s patent practice on domestic and foreign patent prosecution matters, including preparing formal documents for submission to the USPTO, filing documents with the USPTO,monitoring the firm’s patentdocketand communicating deadlines to clients, and interfacing with clients on the status of theirpatentmatters
Required QualificationsMinimum5+ years of intellectual property experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with or strong interest inworking with
AI tools and technology in legal operations and workflowProven experience managing IP dockets, including experience with
AltLegal or similar IP management software
INTA (International Trademark Association) participationor experience
Strong networking abilities within the IP community
