Business Litigation Attorney

A leading Am Law 100 firm seeks a highly motivated Business Litigation Associate or Counsel to join its dynamic commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have broad litigation experience and exposure to complex business disputes, with the ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively in a team‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, written discovery, depositions, expert work, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions in state and federal court.
• Conduct complex legal research and provide strategic analysis on a wide range of business disputes.
• Prepare case evaluations, risk assessments, and client-facing reports.
• Work closely with partners, clients, and internal teams on litigation strategy and case development.
• Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

Desired Background

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas (not required to have all):

• Securities litigation
• Trade secret misappropriation
• Intellectual property disputes (copyright, trademark, or related commercial IP litigation)
• Internal corporate investigations
• Contract and business tort matters
• Corporate governance or shareholder litigation

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Membership in the state bar of the office location (or ability to become admitted promptly).
• 3+ years of litigation experience at a law firm of similar caliber.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
