A company is looking for a Staff Counsel to manage moderately complex civil litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities Independently manage all phases of litigation, including conducting legal research and leading settlement negotiations Support Senior Trial Counsel in case handling and preparation throughout the litigation process Develop and implement advanced legal strategies and ensure compliance with legal standards and documentation
Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school Admission to the bar in Virginia and in good standing Minimum of 5 years of trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with favorable outcomes General knowledge of insurance law and related regulations
