Beauty Industry Leader is seeking a Sourcing / Operations Planner!

A leading consumer goods organization in the beauty space is seeking a Sourcing / Operations Planner to support supply chain planning, sourcing, costing, inventory management, and on-time delivery across assigned business categories. This role serves as a key liaison between internal cross-functional teams and external vendors, ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, analytically strong, and effective at influencing outcomes through collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Issue and manage purchase orders; negotiate with vendors to secure capacity
  • Support short- and long-term capacity planning initiatives
  • Expedite production and shipments to meet speed-to-market objectives
  • Communicate new launch forecasts and medium-range receipt plans
  • Partner with vendors to anticipate future supply chain requirements
  • Identify and communicate excess inventory risks; support clearance and run-out strategies
  • Collaborate on new product launches and medium-range planning
  • Identify opportunities to reduce lead times and improve supply chain agility

Inventory Management

  • Maintain data integrity within Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Execute buys using SAP MRP
  • Manage component inventory targets and inventory turns
  • Ensure Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy, including waste factors and usage
  • Partner with Inventory Control on physical inventories and issue resolution
  • Support quarterly Excess & Obsolete inventory reviews
  • Lead end-of-season inventory planning, cycle counts, and run-out strategies
  • Analyze reports and resolve discrepancies to maintain a clean book of business

Change Management & Compliance Projects

  • Support regulatory-driven change initiatives (including allergen compliance updates)
  • Maintain weekly trackers reporting sourcing progress
  • Execute mass data updates for finished goods and components

Costing & Commercial Support

  • Execute cost roll reporting and analysis
  • Manage rebate calculations and collections
  • Support cost increase requests, surcharges, and PPV reviews
  • Process RFQs, PO updates, trackers, and tooling forms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
  • 2–3 years of experience in sourcing, production planning, supply chain, or inventory management
  • Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, or retail preferred
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external partners
  • Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel)
