The Supply Chain and Production Control Associate is responsible for enhancing and strengthening our supply chain to enable the growth and development of the business by driving improvements within all supply chain functions, including the analysis and assessment of throughput, planning, increasing and optimizing capacity, and executing on daily purchasing tasks. This position’s primary focus is to contribute and execute on the team’s strategic plans for supply chain optimization, expansion, and sustainability.
This individual is a dynamic, adaptable, open‑minded problem solver with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. In turn, these skills will be used for strategic planning and efforts in increasing efficiency and efficacy in all supply chain disciplines. This position has a strong influence on the fundamental principles guiding supply chain functionality and works closely with the Supply Chain Supervisor and General Manager to realize the company’s true supply chain potential.
Minimum Qualifications Education- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or relevant field (preferred)
- 0-2 years of experience in a supply chain or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in the connector or wire and cable industry (preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Results‑oriented with analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively under stressful and dynamic environments
- Ability to motivate team members in a creative and effective manner
- Plan, schedule, and monitor production and supply chain activities to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Coordinate with production, quality, warehouse, engineering, sales, and suppliers to meet demand and resolve issues.
- Determine and manage manpower, equipment, materials, and inventory requirements using MRP and related tools.
- Oversee purchasing activities, including supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and order execution.
- Monitor supplier performance (lead times, quality, cost, throughput) and lead second‑sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, costs, deliveries, and supplier performance.
- Revise production and supply plans in response to changes, shortages, or operational disruptions.
- Identify risks, capacity constraints, and improvement opportunities; support SIOP and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with contracts, standards, and applicable regulations.
- Support long‑term planning, reporting, change management, and overall supply chain optimization.
- Analyze pricing, cost structures, and financial data to support sourcing decisions and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support operational goals.
- Track KPIs and performance metrics to measure productivity, service levels, and continuous improvement progress.
- Support market awareness efforts by staying informed on industry trends, suppliers, and emerging technologies.
Other responsibilities, initiatives and ad‑hoc projects as required.
