Supply Chain Associate; Sanborn, NY

Title: Supply Chain Specialist (part-time)

Reports to: VP, Operations

This is a part-time support function for a very small start-up team, the main purpose being to ensure import / export compliance, and carry out low volume shipping and receiving activities.

This position requires about 10-12 hrs. per week, split into two 5 hr. days per week / three 4 hr. days per week.

• Import & Export Control
• Operational import shipment coordination (chemicals, equipment, etc.)
• Monitor CBP ACE portal for inbound/outbound shipment data.
• Support import shipments.
• Manually create (edit) commercial invoices if shipments are sent without charge.
• Monitor shipments for hold / troubleshooting.
• Shipping & Receiving
• Shipping execution
• Billing contact for Carriers.
• Contact for sales on general shipping topics.
• Customer print documents.
• Carrier orders and pickup/delivery requests.
• Account admin for UPS, Fed Ex, DHL.
• Contact for UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, Mohawk account managers.
• Miscellaneous
• Financial Audit support.
• Maintain Customer On time delivery KPI.
• Follow up on supplier requests, checking shipment status, calling carriers.
• Support ad hoc requests.
• Procurement Support
• Backup to Procurement Specialist for new supplier setup - PNC authorization.
• Backup to Procurement Specialist for PO issues and changes.
• Support Accounts Payable with supplier payment or billing issues.

• Associate’s degree.
• 5 years of supply chain and operations experience.
• Hands on import / export experience.
• Manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and often-changing environment, with a degree of ambiguity.
• Willing to work in a flexible fashion.
