Director – Supply Planning is a strategic, results‑oriented supply chain leader responsible for overseeing long‑term supply planning and finished goods inventory management, reaching business objectives. This role ensures alignment between supply plans and demand forecasts, optimizes inventory across the finished goods portfolio, and maintains targeted service levels.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in supply chain operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational performance, support product lifecycle planning, and lead cross‑functional initiatives. This position requires close collaboration with manufacturing sites, planning teams, and senior leadership.

This position is based in office from Mondays‑Thursdays, and remote on Fridays.

Responsibilities
  • Enable long‑term supply planning to support IP annual revenue growth
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels across the full IP USA Finished Goods Catalog
  • Align supply plans with demand plans in collaboration with affiliate material planners
  • Oversee production planning and execution commitments from contract manufacturing partners
  • Meet and exceed KPIs for fill rates, days of supply, and inventory levels for finished goods
  • Monitor and assess both short‑ and long‑term capacity at subcontracted production sites
  • Lead monthly inventory reviews and present KPI analytics to senior leadership
  • Propose and drive process improvement initiatives to streamline planning operations
  • Calculate and monitor safety stock based on ABC classification
  • Support product lifecycle management, including phase‑ins and phase‑outs
  • Oversee inter‑DC inventory transfers and coordination with subcontracted production
  • Manage and execute broad supply chain projects as assigned
  • Develop and implement Six Sigma‑based performance management tools
  • Lead team development and performance management
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing, preferably in cosmetics or fragrance
  • 4+ years of experience in team leadership and people management.
Required Skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver), the integration of organization, system, and process enterprise wide, and the importance of Master Data in the overall effectiveness and operation of the Supply Chain
  • Strong technical (MRP, Office, Outlook, etc.) and interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of establishing cross‑functional relationships to maximize customer service performance.
  • The ability to work independently with strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation; comfortable and credible with both internal and external partners
  • Self‑starter who will thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to multi‑task and pivot
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
