Warehouse Attendant – Jacob K. Javits Convention Center

Levy Restaurants seeks a Warehouse Attendant to support purchasing, receiving, storing, and controlling food and beverage, supplies, and services at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Responsibilities include ensuring best products are in the right places at the right times and maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment.

Assist in inventory management, handle incoming deliveries, process invoices, deliver product during events, and support internal guests. Requires long periods standing, physical stamina, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Follow steps of service and ensure proper storage of products.
• Receive food and beverage products, using large equipment for the process.
• Assist with invoice receiving and processing.
• Deliver product during events, including changing kegs of beer.
• Understand and exceed internal guests’ needs.
• Maintain service areas and employ good safety and sanitation practices.
• Label and date all received products.
• Facilitate delivery sheet process to stand locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
• Adhere to company guidelines, house rules, and responsible alcohol service policies.

• Stand for long periods and engage physically with guests.
• Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.
• React quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate physical stamina and agility to be mobile for long periods.
• Lift or move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Operate equipment such as phones and standard office equipment.
• Move easily from sitting to standing positions.
• Use hands for grasping equipment.

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.

• Attention to detail and outgoing personality.

• Ability to interact with high-profile guests professionally.
