Associate Planner
onsite NYC 5 days
- Must have Fashion Apparel experience
Salary: $75-95k DOE
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Associate Planner to support planning and inventory strategy across a fast‑paced wholesale apparel business, with a strong focus on Amazon. This role will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to drive sales performance, manage inventory health, and support forecasting and budgeting across multiple product categories.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional with strong retail math skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience in wholesale or Amazon account planning.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain monthly sales, margin, and inventory plans across multiple brands and categories.
- Analyze historical sales performance and current business trends to develop accurate forecasts.
- Reforecast sales, receipts, margin, and inventory on a recurring basis as business needs evolve.
- Prepare and submit monthly budgets, forecast updates, and end‑of‑month reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels and inbound receipts to ensure appropriate stock support for planned sales.
- Identify inventory risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to improve performance.
- Track open orders against sales plans and receipt flow to help maintain healthy inventory positions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, merchandising, and inventory partners to support business goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2+ years of experience in planning, merchandise planning, or buying.
- 1–2+ years of Amazon wholesale planning experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong overall Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong understanding of retail math, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
