Location: Marysville
Sourcing Specialist – New Product Sourcing
Responsible for supporting sourcing execution for new product introduction projects from concept through production handoff. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify suppliers, manage RFQs, ensure material readiness, drive cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and risk mitigation, and oversee commodity sourcing to support ongoing production needs.
Responsibilities- NPI Sourcing Execution & Project Support
- Execute sourcing activities for NPI projects from concept through production handoff.
- Support supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding aligned with sourcing strategies.
- Lead RFQ processes, including quote collection, analysis, and cost comparison.
- Manage prototype procurement, supplier timelines, and material readiness for builds.
- Track NPI milestones and escalating risks related to cost, supply, and timelines.
- Supplier Coordination & Performance Support
- Act as primary point of contact for suppliers during NPI phases.
- Support supplier feasibility reviews, capacity validation, and production readiness.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance during development builds.
- Support supplier performance tracking and corrective action follow‑up.
- Coordinate with Supplier Quality teams during quoting and awarding processes.
- Costing & Commercial Support
- Support cost analysis, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations.
- Assist in pricing negotiations and commercial terms under guidance from commodity leaders.
- Validate costed BOMs and ensure alignment with project cost targets.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Buyers, Commodity Leaders, and Operations teams.
- Support design reviews, engineering changes, and sourcing alignment with project goals.
- Contribute to production readiness, pilot builds, and launch execution activities.
- NPI Ownership & Handover Support
- Own sourcing deliverables throughout the NPI lifecycle.
- Support supplier selection, RFQ execution, and sourcing reviews.
- Lead awarding processes including feasibility and approval workflows.
- Prepare sourcing inputs for handoff to Buyers, including pricing, lead times, and risks.
- Support contract execution such as LOIs, tooling agreements, and supply contracts.
- Support post‑launch activities to ensure smooth transition to production.
- Commodity Sourcing Responsibilities
- Manage assigned commodities to support production continuity.
- Execute sourcing strategies and supplier management for production programs.
- Drive cost improvement initiatives and ensure supply continuity.
- Align NPI sourcing with long‑term commodity strategies.
- Communication & Problem Solving
- Communicate sourcing progress, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.
- Apply structured problem‑solving methods to resolve supplier and sourcing issues.
- Escalate critical issues to senior sourcing leaders as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, buying, or supply chain roles.
- Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or New Product Development (NPD).
- Strong supplier management and coordination skills.
- Foundational negotiation skills and understanding of commercial terms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow‑up skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently with guidance from senior sourcing team members.

- Salary range reflects the projected hiring range for new hires in selected U.S. locations.
