Blue Nile is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support the Manufacturing Operations team in managing day-to-day inventory and resolving issues. Responsibilities also include purchasing and receiving stock, generating purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, ordering components in response to demand, and promptly investigating and resolving stock issues. In addition, vendor management is critical to ensuring timely stock replenishment. Based on business needs, this role may supplement other manufacturing operations tasks, such as picking components and order fulfillment.
Responsibilities- Monitor inventory levels to set orders for replenishment in a timely manner.
- Verify deliveries, costs, and quantities of incoming orders.
- Collaborate with vendors for accurate stock allocation and shipments.
- Maintain stock and ensure accurate records within ERP.
- Support cycle counts and larger inventory counts.
- Prepare documents from advanced shipping notices from suppliers for timely material receipts.
- Check packing lists thoroughly for correctness and quality, maintaining product integrity.
- Support returns, cancellations, and other reverse logistics work streams to allow accurate accountability.
- Handle additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support broader inventory strategy and needs.
- Proactively and clearly communicate with the manager, team, and other coworkers at R2
Net to ensure efficient and professional handling of the workload.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in an inventory-related position, preferably within the jewelry industry.
- Proactive critical thinking approach to any role.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Computer literacy and comfort.
- Works with close attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
- Experience with inventory counts and stock reconciliation preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Annual base pay: $41,600–$45,760. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
