Tiello is partnered with a reputable Commercial Roofing / Building Envelope Contractor that is actively hiring an Operations & Logistics Coordinator to support shop, yard, fleet, and material coordination across multiple active job sites. This role is essential to keeping field operations running smoothly ensuring crews have the right materials, tools, and equipment at the right time while maintaining organization and visibility across logistics and inventory.

Position

Summary

The Operations & Logistics Coordinator will support daily shop operations, inventory tracking, dispatch coordination, and material management. This individual will work closely with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field crews to ensure efficient scheduling, accurate inventory, and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven construction environment.

Key Responsibilities Shop & Yard Support
  • Assist with organization and daily operations of yard and shop
  • Maintain clean, accessible layout for tools, materials, and equipment
  • Support tool and equipment tracking (check-in/check-out)
  • Coordinate basic equipment readiness and maintenance scheduling
Inventory & Equipment Tracking
  • Track inventory levels of tools, equipment, and materials
  • Monitor what is in use vs. available across job sites
  • Assist in preventing loss, damage, and shortages
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting
Logistics, Dispatch & Scheduling
  • Support planning and coordination of daily deliveries and pickups
  • Assist with scheduling drivers and trucks based on job site needs
  • Help adjust schedules and routes as priorities shift
  • Communicate with field teams to confirm delivery timing and needs
  • Assist in ensuring job sites are properly stocked with required materials
  • Coordinate deliveries aligned with project schedules
  • Track material usage and communicate upcoming needs
  • Support Project Managers and field teams with material requests
  • Assist with ordering materials, tools, and equipment
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
  • Help track purchase orders and delivery status
  • Support building relationships with key suppliers
Operations & Process Support
  • Maintain documentation and tracking systems for inventory and logistics
  • Identify inefficiencies and support process improvements
  • Assist leadership with reporting, coordination, and operational tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 2-5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or coordination roles
  • Experience in construction, roofing, or service-based industries preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and priorities
  • Strong communication skills with field teams, vendors, and internal staff
  • Proficient in Excel and/or inventory/logistics systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to commercial roofing or building envelope scopes
  • Familiarity with construction materials (TPO, PVC, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, coatings)
  • Experience supporting dispatch, fleet coordination, or scheduling
  • Experience with inventory or job tracking systems
