Job Overview

We’re looking for motivated, engaged people to lead the Supply Chain & Internal Logistics department within the Gate Gourmet Unit operations. The role will plan and coordinate the flow of materials from suppliers to the unit and within the unit, ensuring safe, timely delivery, optimal cost and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the four operating areas of Supply Chain & Internal Logistics:
    Purchasing, Warehouse, Internal Delivery System (IDS), and Forecasting & Planning (Short Term).
  • Develop business MRP and place supplier orders, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
  • Oversee reception, allocation, and storage of food and non‑food materials, ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety procedures.
  • Control internal order processes, inventory, replenishment, and material flow within the unit.
  • Coordinate short‑term rostering and planning with the Forecasting & Planning Manager.
  • Collaborate with other operational areas to optimize service to internal customers.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain standard processes, sharing best practice with supply chain peers and OP&C.
  • Align material and labor targets with OP&C for forecasting and planning, including MPS alignment.
  • Track and analyze KPIs, facilitate OPRS and MIB meetings, and manage improvement action points.
  • Accountable for department financial indicators such as AvT, labor and material budget, Cap Ex, OpEx.
  • Manage productivity and efficiency in the area, ensuring compliance with budget targets and using corporate tools.
  • Generate performance reports for the business and customers.
  • Track IS incidents within the department and the IDS flow.
  • Optimize resources through process improvement, lean and continuous improvement principles.
  • Participate in customer and authority audits.
  • Recognize good performance, promote reward and recognition schemes, coach and discipline employees.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide solutions using influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Lead operational meetings such as MIB, town halls and departmental meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • At least 5 years experience in logistics or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years managing a team of more than 100 people.
  • Experience in major change management projects.
  • Experience in food hygiene/health & safety/high security environment (preferred).
  • Prior knowledge of airline catering operations (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or business management; specialization in logistics or supply chain management is desirable.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Information search and analysis; intermediate to advanced IT skills.
  • Problem resolution and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, flexible and change‑mindful.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and key‑user experience with ERP (e.g., SAP).

Salary and Location

Salary: $110,000-$125,000.
