Ferguson Industrial is seeking a Buyer Associate to support procurement activities and deliver excellent customer service while working on-site with a collaborative team at our customer location in Hobart, NY. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or looking to transition into a purchasing role-no extensive buying experience required.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Assist with day-to-day purchasing and procurement tasks

+ Monitor inventory and manage product shortages

+ Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to support order needs

+ Help process purchase orders and track order status

+ Expedite orders and follow up on deliveries

+ Support basic reporting and data analysis related to inventory and usage

+ Assist with resolving invoice discrepancies and freight billing questions

+ Maintain accurate product and order information in systems

+ Research product specifications when needed

+ Provide support in resolving customer and supplier inquiries

* Qualifications:

* + Interest in supply chain, purchasing, or operations (prior experience is helpful but not required)

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to follow processes and learn new systems quickly

+ Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

+ Strong communication and customer service skills

+ Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic

** Nice to Have (Not Required):*
* + Any exposure to procurement, inventory, or warehouse environments

+ Familiarity with manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) products
