Ensure manufacturing and field operations have the materials and tools needed by maintaining acceptable levels of inventory and purchasing materials. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, procurement, inventory transactions, inventory accuracy, fulfilling orders, maintaining tools and equipment. These responsibilities shall be conducted following ISO 9001 guidelines, with safety, quality, and service as the top priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain acceptable inventory levels through Reorder Points, Kanban, and Economic Order Quantities.
- Issue Purchase Orders for all bill of material and inventory items to support the manufacturing build schedule.
- Receive, verify, and store all shipments delivered to Fabcon except for office supplies and equipment.
- Sign, date, and enter receipts into ERP system.
- Reconcile inventory levels within the ERP system through process of inventory receiving, cycle counting, shop orders, etc.
- Perform annual physical inventory at fiscal yearend.
- Count and return items to stock that have been returned from the field teams.
- Organize warehousing of all parts, tools, and supplies.
- Manage PO open orders and invoice discrepancy issues with the accounting team.
- Maintain calibration and repairs of inventoried tool for plant and field teams.
- Establish locations for all new parts entering the ERP system.
- Store packing slip and quality records for audit references.
- Cross train with buyer for back up responsibilities when necessary.
- Must be committed to safety, customer satisfaction, first time quality, and efficiency.
- Minimum of three (3) years hands-on inventory control experience.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of Inventory Control (i.e., functions, importance, accuracy).
- Knowledge in Receiving and Warehouse Maintenance.
- Ability to learn and apply receiving and inventory control methods.
- Capable of interpreting and analyzing data.
- Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Well organized with data entry capabilities.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work under strict deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- APICS Certification
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Office:
Move 25 lbs. (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time. - Plant/Yard:
Move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection. - Office:
Quiet with some ambient noise, climate controlled, fluorescent lighting. - Plant/Yard:
All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles, vibrations from machinery and vehicles, loud noises, little to no climate control, varying amounts of light, stairs, narrow walkways.
This role requires working on-site in Selkirk, New York Monday through Friday. This is not a remote or hybrid role. Salary range for this position is $28 / hour to $38 / hour.
