Responsibilities
- Act as Senior Sourcing Manager for American Repair shops and 3rd party repair
- Lead on sourcing activities and supplier management for Richmond, Morelia, Atlanta Repair shops and Steam turbine and Generator components repair (3rd party repair)
- Lead team and own supplier strategy management and project PO execution management including RFQ, Negotiation, PO placement, PO fulfillment and AP resolution
- Lead supplier qualification to ensure all vendors working on site are qualified on safety to avoid safety risk
- Work with quality team and SQEs to solve supplier quality issue and drive on recovery plan
- Manage and improve supply base performance and oversee red/yellow flag process
- Partner with material and production team to prioritize, prevent, and/or solve production material issues
- Work with material and production team to implement material planning strategy and drive supplier Leadtime reduction
- Negotiate payment term with vendor to help company on cash position
- Lead creation and execution of the plan to transform the shop sourcing team and supplier base into a high-quality, best cost and best Leadtime supply chain
- Train and coach sourcing and buyers on policy, procedure and develop expertise
- Utilize sourcing expertise to manage complex supplier management situations
- Drive continual improvement on sourcing process by utilizing Lean and daily management tools
- Lead the assigned scope for global repair sourcing on 3rd party repair for bigger global impact beyond specific shop scope
- Advanced experience in the Sourcing & Buying-Procurement
- At least 5 years of sourcing manager experience
- Demonstrated cross‑cultural people and team leadership
- Understand the end‑to‑end supply chain considerations and methods of driving continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience creating and working with negotiated agreements
- Experience managing regional or global team
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Experience in Gas Turbine repair related MRO business
- Lean and Six Sigma certification and experience in continuous improvement
