About The Job
Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking an International Logistics Manager (6‑month parental coverage) to oversee and optimize the end‑to‑end international logistics flows for both sellable and non‑sellable goods. This role will manage relationships with two logistics vendors and ensure efficient coordination across global supply points, distribution centers, and internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities Logistics Operations Management- Oversee international inbound logistics flows for sellable goods sourced from central distribution centers in the United States and primarily in France.
- Ensure smooth delivery and replenishment to four distribution centers, including three in the United States and one in Canada.
- Manage logistics flows for non‑sellable goods, with key origins in Asia, Mexico, and France.
- Monitor transportation performance, shipment execution, lead times, and delivery reliability across all flows.
- Identify and resolve operational issues impacting service, cost, inventory availability, or customs clearance.
- Act as the main point of contact for the two logistics vendors managing the transportation and flow of sellable and non‑sellable goods.
- Build and maintain strong day‑to‑day relationships with vendors to ensure high service quality and responsiveness.
- Coordinate closely with customs brokers to support smooth import processes and timely customs clearance.
- Track vendor and broker performance through KPIs, service reviews, and operational follow‑up.
- Challenge vendors and brokers where needed and drive corrective action plans to improve service, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Partner closely with the customs compliance team to ensure all international shipments are managed in line with applicable import/export regulations and internal compliance requirements.
- Support the accuracy and completeness of shipping and customs documentation in collaboration with vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate closely with central teams, supply chain, distribution centers, inventory control, customs compliance, and brokers to ensure seamless execution of logistics activities.
- Facilitate communication between internal and external partners to align priorities, shipment planning, issue resolution, and compliance requirements.
- Support inventory availability by ensuring timely and accurate inbound flows.
- Escalate risks proactively and lead action plans with relevant stakeholders.
- Define, monitor, and report on key logistics performance indicators such as on‑time delivery, lead time adherence, freight cost, customs clearance performance, vendor performance, and inventory impact.
- Track logistics and transportation costs across all flows, identify variances, and highlight risks or opportunities for cost optimization.
- Review, validate and manage invoices from logistics vendors and relevant service providers to ensure accuracy, alignment with agreed rates, and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support business continuity during the 6‑month assignment by stabilizing operations and ensuring consistent logistics performance.
- Provide structure, visibility, and governance across international logistics activities.
- Contribute to handover documentation, process clarification, and recommendations for long‑term optimization.
- Experience:
3‑5 years of professional experience in Logistics/International Logistics, Supply Chain. - Communication:
Demonstrates elevated and sophisticated communication abilities. - Vendor Management:
Strong background and proven success in vendor management. - Technical
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in Power Query and Power BI highly desirable. - Language:
Fluency in French is considered a valuable asset.
Salary
: USD $100,000‑$120,000 annually.
