Purchasing Director

Responsibilities

• Manage the Purchasing Department with 3-4 personnel.
• Oversee all purchasing activities, policies, systems, and personnel, ensuring compliance with internal controls, SQF requirements, and third-party audit standards.
• Forecast raw material needs, maintain optimal inventory levels, manage system and non-system purchases, and proactively resolve shortages or supply chain disruptions.
• Source new ingredients and packaging, manage approved vendors, negotiate competitive pricing through cost analysis and bidding, and monitor purchase orders to meet production timelines.
• Coordinate with production, sales, QC, and customers; manage purchasing documentation, private label packaging and label development, and ensure accurate reporting and communication.

Reports to SVP of Operations.

• Bachelors degree.
• CPSM, CPP, and/or APICS certifications a plus.
• 7+ years in high-volume food production.
• 3+ years managing personnel in purchasing/procurement.

Salary up to $130k/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, FSA, etc.
