As PD & Production Support, Accessories, you will provide day-to-day support to the Senior Manager and broader PD & Production team for our handbags and small leather goods (SLG) business. This is a temporary position focused on maintaining accurate calendars and trackers, coordinating samples and materials, and supporting the administrative and organizational needs of the development process from concept through pre‑production.
Responsibilities- Maintain and update development and production calendars, flagging any dates at risk to the Senior Manager.
- Track sample submissions (prototype, SMS, and pre‑production) and keep BOM and tech pack files organized and current.
- Coordinate the intake, labeling, and distribution of physical samples, materials, and hardware components between design, development, and vendors.
- Support communication flow between internal partners (design, development, merchandising) and external partners (manufacturers, material and hardware suppliers), routing requests and following up on outstanding items.
- Prepare meeting materials and take notes during prototype, SMS, BOM, and pre‑production meetings; track follow‑up action items to completion.
- Assist with data entry and file maintenance in RLM (or equivalent PLM system), ensuring style, costing, and material information is accurate and up to date.
- Help compile factory cost sheets and costing comparisons for the Senior Manager's review.
- Support vendor communication for sample and bulk delivery status updates, escalating delays or issues promptly.
- Assist with quality and returns documentation, and help compile materials for seasonal hindsight meetings.
- Conduct research support for sourcing needs, including compiling information on potential new suppliers.
- Provide general administrative support to the Senior Manager, including scheduling, filing, and ad hoc project support.
- 2‑4 years of experience in accessories product development, production, or a related fashion/apparel coordination role; internship experience considered.
- Interest in handbags and small leather goods construction, materials, and production processes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple trackers and deadlines at once.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coordinating across internal teams and external vendors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; familiarity with RLM or a similar PLM system is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
- A proactive, team‑oriented approach with the flexibility to take on new tasks as needed.
- This is a temporary position; availability for the full duration of the assignment is required.

In compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential hourly rate for this position is from $40 to $45, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
