Sourcing and Production Director

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing & Production Director to lead end-to-end sourcing, production, and supply chain operations for a leading apparel manufacturer. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing vendor selection, global sourcing strategies, production planning, quality assurance, and on‑time delivery across multiple product categories.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in apparel manufacturing, global sourcing, and production management, with a proven ability to negotiate with overseas vendors, optimize supply chain operations, and collaborate across design, product development, and sales teams to deliver high‑quality products while maximizing profitability.

• Lead the end-to-end sourcing and production process from vendor selection through final shipment.
• Identify and develop new factory partnerships across multiple countries to support manufacturing opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, production capacity, delivery schedules, and quality standards with overseas factories and suppliers.
• Evaluate and assign production based on quality, reliability, cost, capacity, and delivery performance.
• Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and Sales teams to ensure product execution meets customer expectations and profitability goals.
• Oversee production calendars, capacity planning, and delivery timelines to ensure on‑time order fulfillment.
• Manage the global supply chain from purchase order placement through production, shipping, and final delivery.
• Monitor factory performance and implement quality control initiatives to maintain product consistency and compliance.
• Develop and execute long‑term sourcing strategies and vendor management plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas factories, suppliers, and sourcing agents.
• Analyze production metrics, costs, and supply chain performance to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and cost savings.
• Lead cross‑functional teams while driving continuous improvement throughout the sourcing and production process.

• Extensive experience in apparel sourcing, production management, or supply chain leadership.
• Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing, including cut‑and‑sew production, fabric sourcing, trim development, and global supply chain operations.
• Proven experience sourcing and managing overseas factories and vendor relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing, production capacity, and delivery timelines.
• Expertise in production planning, capacity management, quality assurance, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies and managing vendor portfolios across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, production tracking software, Microsoft Excel, and supply chain reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple product categories, priorities, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
