Ocean Transportation Specialist

This is an export-focused role: you'll manage cargo movements from domestic suppliers through to US ports, handling everything from customs clearance to carrier coordination.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate ocean export shipments end-to-end cargo - construction equipment, forestry equipment, and out-of-gauge machinery
• Arrange domestic moves from suppliers to US port of loading
• Manage export customs clearance requirements for self-propelled and heavy equipment cargo
• Handle container bookings where applicable, including containerized self-propelled cargo
• Prepare and process export documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Coordinate with carriers, truckers, and internal teams to keep shipments moving on schedule
• Track shipment status and proactively communicate updates to clients
• Maintain accurate shipment records in Magaya

What You Bring

• 4+ years of experience in ocean export operations or logistics coordination
• Experience with RoRo, breakbulk, or out-of-gauge cargo a strong plus
• Familiarity with Magaya or similar freight forwarding/TMS software
• Solid understanding of export documentation and customs clearance processes
• Strong communication and coordination skills — comfortable liaising directly with clients and carriers
• Ability to work independently within a small, tight-knit team
