Job Title: Sourcing & Product Development Specialist Salary: $60K-$90K (commensurate with experience)
Hours: Full-time
About the Role:Looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing & Product Development Specialist to drive our product innovation and sourcing strategy. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has negotiating, and has a sharp eye for quality control. This position offers growth opportunities, with the potential to take on greater responsibilities in sourcing, supply chain management, and product strategy as the company expands.
Key Responsibilities:Sourcing & Product Development:
- Identify and build strong relationships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
- Conduct market research to source new, innovative, and competitive products.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms to optimize costs and efficiency.
- Work closely with design and marketing teams to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
- Evaluate product samples to ensure they meet required specifications before mass production.
- Establish and enforce high-quality standards for all sourced products.
- Oversee factory inspections and pre-shipment quality checks to ensure compliance.
- Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers while implementing long-term improvements.
- Coordinate shipments, track orders, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage freight forwarding, customs clearance, and inventory intake.
- Continuously improve supply chain processes to reduce costs and lead times.
- Monitor sales trends and inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
- Analyze reorder points and place restock orders accordingly.
- Work closely with the sales team to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies.
- Utilize historical sales data and market trends to optimize inventory planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills with experience working with overseas manufacturers.
- Solid understanding of quality control processes and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
