Position Title: EDI & Operations Coordinator
Salary: $70,000–$75,000 / DOE
A growing wholesale home goods distributor is seeking an EDI & Operations Coordinator to keep orders moving accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. This role will process EDI transactions, review raw order data, coordinate routing and shipping, prepare freight quotes, support invoicing and resolve discrepancies across customer portals and internal systems.
The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of EDI, shipping, logistics or operations experience in a B2B wholesale environment. They must bring urgency, sharp attention to detail and the ability to identify problems, take ownership and adapt as the business continues to grow.
EDI & Operations Coordinator Responsibilities- Receive, review, and process daily inbound EDI documents, ensuring accurate and timely entry into the ERP system
- Monitor EDI transactions and resolve discrepancies to maintain seamless data exchange with customers and trading partners
- Review raw order data and identify errors, missing information, or formatting issues
- Cross-reference internal product information with customer SKU data to process purchase orders accurately
- Confirm inventory availability and address shortages or order discrepancies before processing
- Collaborate with Sales, Shipping, and Operations to support order fulfillment and resolve EDI-related issues
- Ensure customer orders are routed within required customer and carrier timelines
- Prepare freight quotation sheets, obtain shipping rates, and secure required approvals before shipment
- Support daily invoicing to ensure orders are billed accurately and on time
- Create and maintain shipping locations and shipping points within internal systems
- Manage customer portal activities, including creating tickets through the Walmart portal when required
- Prepare shipping documentation for domestic and international orders in accordance with customer requirements and applicable regulations
- Process credit memos for returns, damaged merchandise, and order adjustments using AMT and Quick Books
- Communicate with major retail customers regarding routing updates, order corrections, and shipment-related matters
- Monitor shared inboxes and operational requests, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support reporting and operational efficiency
- 2–3 years of experience in EDI processing, shipping, logistics, or operations within a B2B environment
- MUST have EDI experience within wholesale home goods, apparel, accessories, beauty, consumer products or a related hard-goods industry
- Experience reading raw EDI data and identifying order, mapping or formatting errors
- Understanding of EDI mapping and ERP systems such as SAP or comparable platforms
- Experience cross-referencing customer SKUs, internal product data and available inventory
- Experience obtaining freight quotes and comparing shipping rates and options from carriers or freight brokers
- Working knowledge of customer routing portals or similar business systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
