• Provide support in negotiations and purchasing of goods & services as per business requirements for transactions up to USD 25K. For higher values, work as per the direction of senior procurement leadership and provide necessary local support.
• Coordinate with the suppliers for timely delivery of goods & services.
• Act as a local point of contact in the country for Non-Tech sourcing activities.
• Coordinate with the suppliers for getting the quotation for the required good & services. Prepare comparative statement and provide first level analysis to senior procurement leaders.
• Work with senior procurement leaders and act as per their direction to negotiate contract, improve prices and improve business relationship with the suppliers.
• Support senior procurement leadership on timely assessment and evaluation of supplier and their performance as per supplier governance structure.
• Follow procurement guidelines and also bring to the notice of senior procurement leaders about the procurement policy non-compliance in the country.
• Work with senior procurement leaders and act as per their direction to identify and develop alternative suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders in line with final negotiations with selected vendors and in line with organizational targets and requirements and work with internal stakeholders for getting it approved.
• Act as a local point of contact in the country to resolve issues related to quality, price, delivery or invoice. Highlight such issues to senior procurement leaders and coordinate further with respective stakeholder to resolve the issue.
• Build, maintain and manage Vendor relationships and ensure good communications locally in Jamaica.
• Act as a point of contract for all facilities, HR, and Marketing related purchasing activities for Jamaica. The volume of purchases is in tune of more than USD $20M and more than 750 purchase order per Annum.
• Achieve a minimum 8% to 10% cost saving year on year.
• Work collaboratively and negotiate and engage with internal stakeholders (functions like HR, Marketing, Facilities, Admin, Security, Finance, Legal, IT etc.) and Vendors regarding new projects, supplies and initiatives to ensure successful product / service delivery.
• Drive special initiatives to improve procurement addressable spend, improve contract coverage and catalogues.
• Work as a problem solver to meet business demands.
• Build, maintain and manage Vendor relationships and ensure good communications.
• Manage and coordinate all facilities, HR, and Marketing related purchasing activities for Jamaica (Primarily) and US & Canada. The volume of purchases is in tune of more than USD $15M and more than 1000 purchase order per Annum.
• Contact Vendors to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Good negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Understanding of Facilities, Administration sourcing for Jamaica will be an added advantage.
• Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against defined TATs.
• Good understanding of commercials terms & conditions
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Bachelor’s Degree from Engineering, Science or Commerce stream or related field
• Proven purchasing experience ofminimum 5-7 yearsin reputed organizations.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in managing procurement & sourcing activities related to Facilities & Admin functions like, but not limited to Facility Development projects, Janitorial Services, Electro-Mechanical Services, Security Services, Transport, Facility re-development projects, Sourcing of office furniture, CAPEX Equipment purchase etc.
• Operational experience of minimum 2-3 years on procurement sourcing tools like ARIBA/COUPA/Ivalua will be an added advantage.
